You can help!

The Good Samaritan Relief Fund invites the community to donate to its Community Christmas Celebration. Donations of gifts appropriate for boys and girls 14 and under will be accepted at any of the Two Harbors churches, the Two Harbors Federal Credit Union or at Neighbor to Neighbor Thrift Store. Cash donations are also welcome and will be used to provide assistance to families in need.

The Community Christmas Celebration will be held Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. at the Two Harbors Community Center. There will be caroling, cookies and hot chocolate.

Families who would like their child to receive a gift should pick up and complete an application, available at Neighbor to Neighbor. Applications will be accepted until Dec. 7.

Recycle your holiday decorations and spread some Christmas cheer.

As you think about decorating for the holidays, do you find that you have way too much or have more than you can really use? Make those extra decorations available to other households who cannot afford them. Drop off your extra holiday decorations at the AEOA office at 2124 10th Street. We have a table there to make decorations available to others in the community. If you have questions, please call Jan at 834-2280, ext 108.

Volunteers are needed at the Salvation Army Christmas distribution. We need a total of six people, Dec. 18, at the American Legion in Two Harbors. There are two shifts, 9 a.m.—12 p.m. and 12—3 p.m. Lunch will be provided. If you want to really get into the holiday spirit, volunteer by calling Jan at 834-2280, ext 108.
