Cloud Cult concert a success

About 300 people filled the William Kelley High School auditorium on a rainy Saturday evening for a Cloud Cult performance sponsored by the Northern Lake County Arts Board. Board member Nancy Piersel said the show went off without a hitch and the board members even got to spend the afternoon with Cloud Cult and share dinner with them.

“We just want to thank everyone that helped put the show on,” she said.

Two paintings created by on-stage artists Connie Minowa and Scott West during the concert were auctioned off at the end of the concert. Minowa’s painting went for $500 and the proceeds will benefit the Organic Consumer’s Association in Finland. West’s painting went for $325 and the proceeds are going to Northshore Area Partners.
