Briana Kramer of Salt Lake City, Utah, edged out the competition this morning to claim her third straight women's title in the NorthShore Inline Marathon from Two Harbors to Duluth.
Wesley Gandy of Richmond, Va., won the men's title by less than a second for his first NorthShore crown.
Gandy, 21, finished in 1 hour, 3 minutes, 19.3 seconds, just six-tenths of a second ahead of Luis Meija, 51, of Bogota, Colombia, as skaters rolled down Harbor Drive between the William A. Irvin ore boat and the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
Kramer, 21, finished in 1:13:01.8, only four-tenths of a second ahead of runner-up Julie Glass, 33, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.
Skaters completed the race under sunny skies.
