Letter to the editor: Robin Glaser is the woman for the job
By: Deborah Anderson, Two Harbors, Lake County News Chronicle
Robin Glaser is the perfect choice for councilor-at-large for Two Harbors. Born and raised in Two Harbors, she certainly knows each and every corner of the city. As a child she played on its playgrounds, went to its schools and churches. As a young married wife, she and her husband Jim bought a house, had two boys and settled into life in Two Harbors.
Many of you know Robin as a nurse at our local clinic. The care, concern and compassion she shows her patients is the same care, concern and compassion she feels and shows for her city.
In 1984, Robin took on the immense job of putting together a parade for the Two Harbors centennial, a parade which is today our Heritage Days Parade. Robin served on our city council from 1991-1997 and then as our first woman mayor from 2001 to 2008. It's in her blood. But she needed a few years to step back, get a new perspective and raise her boys.
The boys are adults now. Robin sees things she wants to be a part of in our city, so is running a write-in campaign for Two Harbors councilor- at large. What that means is, when you go to the poll to vote on Nov. 6, at the councilor- at large line, fill in the circle and write- in Robin Glaser.
Robin has visions for the future of our city and ideas on how to help get us there. She has experience from her past service to the city, she has the excitement, the wisdom and the energy to be part of the team that can make it happen.
Robin Glaser is the right person for the job. Write- In Robin Glaser for councilor- at- large.
Vote on Nov. 6, it’s your right and the right thing to do.
