Lake County residents in the Finland, Silver Bay, Beaver Bay and Two Harbors areas can board a bus at no charge to attend the Lake County Community Connect.
Community Connect is a one day free event that serves rural individuals and households that are struggling to make ends meet, as well as for those that are unstably housed. This year’s Community Connect event will provide individuals and households with items that meet immediate needs such as groceries, haircuts, health checks and more. Many service providers will be there with information and applications for a variety of programs.
Community Connect takes place at Two Harbors High School Friday, Oct. 26, 3-6 p.m. Child care and a meal will be provided.
Residents who would like to attend, but need transportation can reserve a seat or get more information by calling Arrowhead Transit at 1-800-223-1850, ext. 101 Reservations are being accepted until Oct. 22.
