Agate Swim Team Still Going Strong
From Heather Mayfield
The Two Harbors High School swim team beat the Superior Spartans 100-86 at Superior High School. The girls’ record is now 9-0.
The Agates left Superior last Tuesday with a huge victory This meet was the Agates’ toughest competition of the season, but they left Superior last Tuesday with a victory over the Superior Spartans. The final score was 100-86. The Agate swimmers and divers all had personal bests times or personal victories to lead both junior varsity and varsity to the victory.
The team was behind 30-32 going into diving. The girls were nervous, scared and needed to regain their focus. After the second half, the girls regrouped, started to get their fire back and cheered their way back to fight for their victory. It was nothing but tears of joy and pride after the meet.
