Eh? Which city has the best drinking water?

We at Eh? just assumed the cold, clear water out of Lake Superior tasted best. But apparently there still is some uncertainty.

Municipal water utilities will raise their glasses to see which city in Minnesota has the best-tasting drinking water in the state.

The winner of this year’s “Best in Glass” water taste test championship will be decided at the Minnesota American Water Works Association annual convention. The conference will attract water professionals from around the state to the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center from Sept. 18-21.

Conference attendees will vote to determine the top three. A panel of “taste-testing experts” will sample the top three and announce this year’s big winner.

The winning city will take home a trophy and wall plaque, as well as bragging rights for being the 2012 Best in Glass winner.

Last year, St. Cloud Public Utilities took the honors. Moorhead Public Service won the event in 2009 and 2010.
