Are you in the market for a rare Star Wars poster, antique dresser or vintage jewelry item? Look no farther than RSJ Everything on First Avenue in Two Harbors, across from the Wells Fargo Bank.
First- time business owner, Rita Pierce, and employee Jackie Jordon opened their doors last Monday and are settling into their new space. As the name implies, they sell a little bit of everything—appliances, linens, antique toys and memorabilia.
“A lot of our inventory comes from auctions, we buy higher-end things and there are some antiques. The inventory will change quite often,” Pierce said.
“We do new and previously new,” quipped Jordon with a smile, “and if we don’t have it, we’ll gladly try to find it for you.”
Prior to opening her shop, Pierce was doing some business using the internet, but it became impractical.
“We were doing a lot of online buying and selling, but eventually we had a hard time finding storage,” she explained. Items were being stored in a variety of places which made it difficult to find them when a customer wanted to make a purchase.
“We decided on this central location,” Pierce said. The shop has a large area in front and an additional area in back for larger items and appliances—plenty of room for a large inventory.
Pierce has lived in Two Harbors most of her life, graduated from high school here and said she is interested in contributing to the economy of the community.
“What I’d like to see is for this to be a draw for downtown…and I’d like to see the store prosper,” said Pierce.
