Reuben Kirsch, 83, died unexpectedly at home on Sept, 25, 2012,
and quietly took the place prepared for him in the loving arms of God.
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather was born on Nov. 26, 1928, to Erwin and Lenore (Poppler) Kirsch in Victoria, Minn., As a young man, he was trained as a carpenter by his father, and later served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Lorraine Olson, and together they moved to the Two Harbors area in 1957, where they raised their family.
He was employed at Reserve Mining Company for 29 years, and at Lutheran Social Service for 19 years, where he maintained their facilities with his wide and varied talents.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking
and being in the outdoors. But mostly he loved spending time with his
grandchildren, in whom he took the greatest pride and joy.
He was, preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Virginia, brothers Earl, Larry and David, infant siblings Lowell and Richard, and grandson,
Nathan.
Our precious dad will be honored and cherished forever in the hearts
of his wife, Lorraine; his son, Steven (Janelle) Kirsch of Kasson, Minn.;
his daughters, Peg (Dave) Lee of Duluth, Minn.; Beverly (Doug) Hinton
Jaeger of Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; and Karen, (Tom) Andersen of
Duluth, Minn.; grandchildren Phillip, Janae, Gretel, Elsa, Elias, Grace,
Levi, Cosette, Montana, Jordan, Emily, and Nicholas; also a sister,
LaJune (John) Dobbs; and brothers Glen (Shirley), Jerry (Irene) and
Bob.
