Ruth Himes and Judy Martel motored to Forest Lake on Saturday to visit with Eleanor Elmstrom. They then attended the wedding of DeAnn Striker and Josh Philippi which was held in Sauk Rapids with a reception following in Foley.

Other relatives that attended the wedding were Randi Bildeaux, Paul and Ginger Tolzmann, Bob, Linda, Gary and Gayle Nikolai, Jim, Verna, Chris, Michael and Karen Sinderman.

Finland Fire Rescue will hold an Open House during Fire Prevention Week, Saturday. October 6th from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m..There will be an auto extraction demo at 1 p.m., a live burn demo at 11 a.m., tours of the building, demos on how firefighters gear up, and fire prevention packets for the kids. Refreshments will be served.

Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Mark Mensing. Mark died on Sept. 19. A funeral service was held on Monday at Sychar Lutheran Church.
