Vote no on the Constitutional Amendment designed to force people to live as others want them to. Vote No to allow the freedom to continue the conversation about committed relationships. Vote No. Don’t be pulled into the emotional hype about all that a Yes vote is supposed to provide.

A yes vote will not provide anything but the opportunity to limit the lives of others. It will not increase safety nor provide for the common good. To use our Constitution in this manner is so totally against everything we want it to stand for; freedom, justice for all, an orderly society, and yet someone told me, forcefully, that this is the only way we can make them do what we want! My point exactly. We should not use our Constitution to force our will onto others.

I have a Bible and I read it, but I would never say that I am as wise as God. People have done that with the crusades, slavery, burning witches and beating wives and children. All of these misuses of scripture show that we are limited in our ability to be as wise as God.

In the Book of Matthew it says do not judge others. Several Bible passages speak against divorce – should we have a constitutional amendment prohibiting divorce? We, as a society, have dealt with divorce and through continued discussion we will also deal with this issue.

Please vote NO!
