How happy I am to have such a worthy opponent running against me. She states that she cannot see anyone running unopposed. However, during the last two elections, several persons did run unopposed. Including one in her ward. Is this another ploy to “stack the council?”

I filed for the at-large position to help my wife, Mary, as she decided to run for mayor leaving once again, the at-large position unopposed, because there weren’t other bodies available, and because I also agree that the citizens of Two Harbors need to start taking an active role in city government.

No one should run for such an important office unopposed. Please pay your $2.00 and file.

If enough legitimate citizens let me know that I’m hindering Mary’s campaign I will consider withdrawing from the race.
