Letter to the editor: Superintendent clarifications
By: William Crandall, Lake Superior School District Interim Superintendent, Lake County News Chronicle
The recent article printed by the News-Chronicle and the Duluth News Tribune failed to indicate that I am contracted as Interim Superintendent for the coming school year.
Also, regarding the school district’s financial status, the school district’s budget is in healthy condition. Over the past six years the reserve fund has been grown due to the management of the former superintendent and decisions made by the Lake Superior School Board. In spite of declining enrollment and increasing costs, Lake Superior School District is doing much better than most districts with similar issues.
