Kay Struve grew up in Knife River and moved away for most of her career. She’s back now, supposedly retired, and living between Knife River and Two Harbors. And she is very busy volunteering at the Two Harbors Food Shelf.

Kay started out volunteering as the delivery person for donations from the Knife River Lutheran Church. She is now a shift leader every Tuesday and also coordinates the schedule for Food Shelf volunteers.

“Volunteering is a way to give back to the community. It is a great feeling to help others who are so appreciative. And, volunteering is a great way to meet the most wonderful people,” Struve said.

The food shelf always needs more volunteers. No matter what you are able to do, they have a place for you. If you would like more information, please call Kay at 834-5755 or Jan, RSVP/NVC at 834-2280, ext. 108.

Arrowhead RSVP is part of Senior Corps and sponsored by AEOA. Funding is

provided by the Corporation for National & Community Service; Minnesota Board

on Aging; St. Louis and Lake Counties.
