Grandma’s Marathon from Two Harbors to Duluth set

The entry numbers for the this year’s Grandma’s Marathon weekend races are official.

The marathon has 7,641 registrants signed up for the 36th running from Two Harbors to Duluth June 16. The race begins at 7:45 a.m. on Scenic Highway 61.

The USA Half Marathon Championships, which Grandma’s Marathon is hosting this year and again in 2013, has 203 entrants – 120 men and 83 women.

The weekend’s other two races, the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon and the William A. Irvin 5K, both have a record number of entries. The half marathon has 7,628 participants registered and the 5K has 1,939. In all, 17,411 runners are signed up for the weekend’s races.
