Jennifer Faughnan of Knife River was part of the 2012 graduating class at Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Jennifer graduated with high honors and placement on the President’s List for both semesters while earning a diploma in the occupational skills program. To receive high honors a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 to 4.0.Steven Fitzgerald, the son of Mark and Becky Fitzgerald of Two Harbors, graduated from Macalester College May 12. Fitzgerald received a liberal arts degree in Economics. He is a graduate of Marshall School in Duluth.Fitzgerald was also honored at the Macalester College awards ceremony April 24 and received two awards in economics.
He won the Mike McEwen prize, awarded annually to an outstanding scholar-athlete majoring in economics, and was named to the National Honor Society in Economics for students who have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or better.
