Barnum 1

The Agates defeated the Barnum Bombers for the first time in school history and remain undefeated in the conference. Barnum jumped on the board first with a run in the second inning, but the Agates answered with a run in the third. Madison Olson and Sasha Fjeran kept the Bombers off the bases for the next few innings with a total of 22 strikeouts for the game. The Agates left several players on base and let the game go into extra innings. The Bombers had the bases loaded in the eighth, but the team held their composure and Madison struck out the side. Savannah Juenemann got on base with a single in the bottom of the eighth. Madison Olson and Ayla Lemke moved players around. Hailey Clark had the game-winning RBI with a solid single up the middle.

The Agate bats got going on Tuesday night up in Grand Marais. Savannah Juenemann hit her second home run of the season and followed up with a single, and a triple with 1 RBI. Sasha Fjeran had a homerun going 3x4 for the game with three runs, one RBI, and one SB. “It was a great team effort at the plate.”
