The Men’s Group of Zion held their Annual Mother-Daughter Spring Banquet on Friday evening. The men served a delicious meal. The program was by Vickie Strauser, daughter of Karsten and Ellen Hogenson. She presented a slide show and talked of when she and her husband, Kelly, worked in Honaunau, Hawaii, which is on the western coast of the Big Island at Earthly Delights Farm. The farm is a member of a program, Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms. During their few months there they helped harvest tropical fruits, nuts and Kona coffee beans in exchange for room and board and a whole new set of farming skills. It was very interesting, and if you want to learn more of their experience you can go to www.gypsyfarmgirl.com.
Lain Michael Dehnhoff, son of Alan and Jessica Dehnhoff, was baptized Sunday morning at Zion Lutheran Church. Sponsors were Jenny Lamb and Brain Dehnhoff.
