The Agates faced the Hibbing Blue Devils without a few players due to illness and injury. “Players were in different positions and we started out shaky. The girls hung in there and mounted a comeback in the 6th, but it just wasn’t enough.”

We got the bats going early in the first inning with 9 runs scoring. It was an all-around team effort both at the plate and in the field.

South Ridge’s pitchers struggled. The Agates walked nine times in the first two innings and had three hit batters. “I’ve been there before. It is not an easy game when your pitchers can’t throw strikes. You really have nowhere to go and you just have to see the game through. South Ridge is usually a competitive team.”
