Severe storms possible later today

Severe storms are possible across the Northland later today and this evening as a cold front sweeps across the region.

Large hail, damaging winds and very heavy rain are possible with thunderstorms forecast to spread from west to east across the region this afternoon and into tonight.

Ahead of the storms, it's going to be another hot day across the Northland, with high temperatures in the mid- to upper 80s in most areas, and possibly into the 90s in areas south of Duluth with gusty south winds. Areas along the Lake Superior shore may be somewhat cooler.
