Locals that attended the funeral service for Vern Hedin in Two Harbors on Thursday were Dale and Joretta Nikula, Bob and Linda Nikolai, Don Runnberg ,and Jean Wagner. Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Vern.

Get well wishes go out to Ruth Himes. Ruth and Judy Martell motored to Rochester last week for Ruth to go through some more tests. Ruth ended up having surgery where they put in two stents. Joe and Gina Dufault visited with Ruth in the hospital and Judy went out to dinner with them.

The Friends of the Finland Community held a Bingo party Sunday afternoon followed by a Community Potluck. Lots of door prizes and 12 hams were given away. They reported it was a lot of fun and plan to have another one on July 22.
