North Shore hosts playoff match today

The North Shore varsity squad will host Southside of Minneapolis in a Minnesota High School Rugby State Tournament quarterfinal pairing today at 3 p.m. on Duluth’s Park Point.
North Shore previously has won the Tier 2 championship in 2009 and 2010, and today’s match marks the first Tier 1 home playoff match in the club’s 10-year history.
The winner of today’s match will advance to the semifinals on June 9 at the National Sports Center in Blaine. The state championship match is set for June 10 at Blake Stadium in Hopkins.
