Brainerd man dead after snowmobile accident on Tomahawk Trail
A Brainerd man is dead after a snowmobile accident on the Tomahawk Trail in Lake County Monday evening.

Lake County Sheriff Carey Johnson said the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 8:16 p.m. Monday that Bryce Niesen, 45, was traveling with another snowmobiler on the Tomahawk Trail four miles west of Kramer Road when he hit a tree. Niesen died at the scene.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death. The Lake County ambulance service, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, and Lake County Sheriff’s Rescue Squad assisted at the accident scene.
