College Kudos

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in Cloquet announced that 354 students attending the college during Fall Semester 2011 earned academic honors and have been placed on the Dean’s List for the Fall Semester grading period.

Local students who made the Dean’s List include Erin Collins, Jeffrey Dwyer, Erin Gregor, Carin Koenig, Abbie Nordean, and Benjamin Ruberg of Two Harbors and Amber Wycoff of Silver Bay.

Requirements for earning Dean’s List honors at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College include maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher while completing 12 or more course credits during the semester. Students may take daytime classes, evening classes, or a combination of both day and evening classes. More than 2,350 full-time and part-time students were enrolled at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College during Fall Semester 2011.

Two North Shore students were named to Bemidji State University’s fall 2011 Dean’s list.

Gary Nieman and Matthew Sonday of Two Harbors were named to the Dean’s List for carrying 12 or more semester hours during any one term and earning at least 3.25 (B-plus) grade point average.
