Letter to the Editor: Thank you to the Two Harbors Police Department

I am writing this letter to congratulate the Two Harbors Police Department for the very informative presentation made to the Ward 1 area residents at the Law Enforcement Center Feb. 16.

Having spent 20 years working in that Department, I do know what it takes to keep our city safe and seeing the progress being made makes me proud to call Two Harbors home.

We are looking at a young police department of qualified officers serving our community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are asking for input from the residents so they can understand more ways to better serve the needs in our community. Everyone has some idea of what may need “tweaking” in their community, so get out there and share your thoughts.

We were well represented by our council member and local law enforcement officers who live in our community at the meeting.

Thanks to Chief Ruberg, Assistant Chief Hogenson, and Jodie Larson for their work on this wonderful endeavor.
