The Friends of the Library and the Two Harbors Public Library are planning an educational series they call “Tech Topics.” The first, “Technology in Education,” will be Thursday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the library and will feature Chuck Hilliard.
The Friends of the Library and the Two Harbors Public Library are planning an educational series they call “Tech Topics.” The first, “Technology in Education,” will be Thursday, March 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the library and will feature Chuck Hilliard.
Hilliard is the technology instructor at Fond du Lac Ojibwe K-12 School and a Two Harbors area resident. He has a passion for using whatever methods will help students learn and has been getting some very good results with at-risk students using a combination of human support and online learning. He also has some interesting ideas about future possibilities for technology in education.
There will also be a representative of the Lake Superior School District present, who will answer questions about the local plan to switch from textbooks to e-readers.
