The Ninth Annual Arrowhead Vintage Snowmobile Rendezvous was held Saturday at Wildhurst Lodge. There was a guided tour at 10 a.m., outdoor music, and good food. A silent auction was held with plenty of door prizes that were donated by local businesses and people.

There were 19 sleds registered for the run and the total number of vintage sleds was 36. Trophy winners were first place for oldest sled to finish for Al Tuorila, with second place going to Troy LeBlanc. The award for longest distance to travel to Finland for the event went to Scott Logan. The People’s Choice award went to Al Tuorila, and the sled that had to be towed and oldest sled awards went to Paul Reardon.

Medal winners were first place to Jon Goette and Vintage Suit honors to Joyce Scott. The oldest rider was Paul Reardon and the youngest rider was Troy LeBlanc. It was a fun day and beautiful weather.

Jim and Marlene Voita of Afton spent the holiday weekend at their cabin. While here, they were dinner guests at the home of Bob and Linda Nikolai. On Saturday they met friends at Lutsen and enjoyed some skiing and beautiful weather up the Gunflint Trail.
