Alan H. Lien

Alan Lien, 59, passed away Feb. 5, 2012, in Duluth after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in St Paul but grew up in Castle Danger.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Phyllis Lien. He is survived by his brother, Gregg (Laurie) Lien and two nieces, Kristin and Melissa Lien. Alan is also survived by his uncle, Herbert (Lois) Steinmueller, and many cousins.

Very special thanks to his friends, especially to Debbie Bolen, and John and Cookie Bowen for their many years of love and friendship. He loved living on the North Shore, hunting, fishing, ATVing, and spending time with his faithful dog, Abie. He graduated from Two Harbors High School in 197 and worked at Minnesota Forestry and North Shore Manufacturing.

A Celebration of Alan’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in the name of Alan Lien. Arrangements made by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
