Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Ashland, Iron, Price counties
Less serious storm activity continues in much of Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin.By: News Tribune staff, Duluth News Tribune
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Iron, Price and eastern Ashland counties. The system could produce strong winds and damaging hail.
A line of storms also has developed on the western end of Lake Superior, stretching from just east of Port Wing to Tofte.
Less serious storm activity continues in much of Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. The National Weather Service predicts the rain will move out of Northeastern Minnesota by late afternoon.
