presentation

The Friends of the Library will host Dr. Gerald “Gene” Cotton, author of “Green to Grey: The Life and Times of Gerald E. Cotton, MD: An Autobiography” at the Two Harbors Public Library later this month.

Originally published for family and friends, Dr. Cotton will talk about the book and how he came to write it. It begins with his initial desire to become a doctor, his years as a "green" resident and experienced practitioner, his teaching career, and his eventual retirement. From small-town childhood to college, medical school and the Navy; from the Mayo to Duluth and the North Shore and many other stops and interests along the way, Dr. Cotton has recorded memories of his varied and interesting life.

Cotton will offer a presentation of his book at 6:30 p.m. January 30 at the Two Harbors Public Library. The Friends of the Library program is free.
