The Agates hockey team has suffered two losses lately against Kittson County Central (1-6) and Hibbing-Chisholm (0-12).

Coach Steve Wasko said his team is going to work on the fundamentals. “We’re still trying to find the right chemistry when working together. We’ve had some kids stepping up lately,” he said. “Once we get everything together, we’re going to start getting some more success.”

The Agates have a bit of time off before their next game. “I think we need to get healthy, physically and mentally. Hopefully, Santa is good to us,” Wasko said. “We’re going to batten down the hatches especially on team defense.”

Wasko said that he’s proud of his team. “We haven’t quit and even when we get down on ourselves, they’ve always fought right to the end at every game,” he said.

The Agates next play Bloomington-Kennedy Dec. 29.
