Brian Lee

Brian Lee, 47, of Knife River, died Dec. 11, 2011, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.

He was born December 31, 1963, in St. Paul. Brian attended and graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1982. After graduation, he enlisted in the Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Inchon helicopter carrier for four years. Brian spent five years in Maryland before returning to Minnesota and settling in Knife River with his father and uncle.

Brian was a member of the American Legion Honor Guard Post #109 and the V.F.W. Club in Silver Bay #6204.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Bonk; grandmother, Mary Lee; brother, Kevin; uncles, Ole and Walter Lee; and aunts, Celia Hanson, Elsie De Long, and Ella Larson.

Brian is survived by his son Tony Sande; daughters Charissa and Amber Lee; father Lawrence; two brothers; a sister; and many cousins and friends.

Visitation was from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Knife River Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery. To sign the online guestbook please go to www.cavallinfuneralhome.com.
