Annual Toy Drive

For the eighth year, Cooperative Light & Power is sponsoring the annual Caring Loving People toy drive for the children of Lake County.

While there are many organized toy drive events in St. Louis County, nothing formal had existed in Lake County. As a result, Caring Loving People and local businesses from across Lake County have pitched in to make a difference.

In conjunction with the Lake County Chapter of the Salvation Army, Cooperative Light & Power will be collecting new, unwrapped items until Dec. 9. All of the items collected will be distributed to Lake County families in need. The Salvation Army will accept toys for kids and teens alike, but they will not accept any toy guns, weapons, or war toys.

Drop-off locations include Cooperative Light & Power, the Two Harbors Federal Credit Union, the Lake County News-Chronicle, Wells Fargo in Two Harbors and Silver Bay, True Value in Two Harbors, Evolve, Superior Shores Resort, Bodies & Balance, the Two Harbors Public Library, Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Lake Bank in Two Harbors and Silver Bay, Zup’s, and the Silver Bay Public Library.

To become a public drop-off site for the CLP toy drive, call the CLP office at 834-2226 or 800-580-5881.
