Cross Country team particiaptes in Proctor Invitational

The Cook County cross country team, with members from Silver Bay and Two Harbors schools, headed to the Proctor Invitational for their traditional end of the regular season meet last Thursday.

They joined a dozen other Section 7A teams on a cold, windy for the meet, which serves as the season finale for the junior varsity and junior high runners, a final tune-up for our varsity runners, and some years, an intra-team competition for the final Section team positions. Unlike every other meet, each team is limited to seven runners at the Section championships.

The girls’ team finished fifth in the varsity standings, and overall, the varsity boys placed seventh and junior varsity boys second.
