Next class of gardeners needed

The Lake County Master Gardeners are looking for the next crop of volunteers.

Master Gardeners are affiliated with the University of Minnesota Extension program and provide research-based information on gardening to the public. Approved candidates receive training by taking the Master Gardener Core Course offered through the University of Minnesota. The cost of the Core Course is $275, which includes all class materials. In addition to taking the course, Master Gardeners are required to volunteer 50 hours the first year and 25 hours annually thereafter.
