Library News: Jack Salmela’s “Sisterhood of the Hennepin Chalice"
A fun-filled read full of local references and compelling characters.
In Duluth author Jack Salmela’s lastest book, the sinking of the Titanic, the Interstate-35 Bridge collapse, the St. Anthony Falls Mill District, and Duluth are all linked by a secret history of North America. Three people struggle to know that history, and guarding that history is an organization known as the Sisterhood of the Hennepin Chalice.
Salmela will be at the Two Harbors Library to present his new book, “Sisterhood of the Hennepin Chalice,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Well-researched and richly detailed, the novel is a fun-filled read full of local references and compelling characters. It also leaves the reader wondering: “Can this be true?”
This won’t be the usual author talk, however. Salmela will bring a slideshow and a costumed interpreter who narrates the Titanic section.
The Friends of the Library program is free.
