Bev Conboy died Sept. 10 from after complications with cancer, at the age of 59. Deepest sympathy goes out to Doug, family, and friends.
Deepest sympathy also goes out to the family and friends of Corrine “Corky” Mjelde. Corky died last Friday at the age of 81. A service was held Wednesday at the Cavallin Funeral Home.
Get well wishes go out to Ric Lindberg, who recently had surgery at St. Luke’s hospital and is now at home recovering.
Jim Sinderman’s cousin, Judy Fales, and her husband, Wes, arrived Wednesday to spend some time with Jim and Verna.
On Sunday afternoon, Judy and Wes had a surprise visit from Mary Carlson McDermid and Mary Jane Van Den Heuvel. Mary is a sister to Wes and Judy’s son-in-law, Jerry Carlson, formally of Silver Bay. Mary was also a classmate of Verna Sinderman, graduating in 1966. It was a fun visit catching up on old times.
The Finn Fest Harvest Booya took place Saturday at the Clair Nelson community center. It was unclear that the hall would be available due to the fire and Red Cross setting up there. On Saturday morning they got the go-ahead. There was a very good turnout, with crafters, good food, and great music by the Bob Curry Family Band.
Gordy and Nancy Cooper celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, Gordy’s 85th birthday and Nancy’s 82nd birthday Sunday afternoon at the center. Congratulations to the happy couple.
