Vernon and Patsy Barstad celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday at the Dry Dock in Duluth. Among some of the friends who attended were Dale and Joretta Nikula, Mike and Pam Johnson, Don Runnberg, Jean Wagner, Ron and Barb Jonson, Jim and Elli Korpi, Larry Byrnes, Randy and Ryan Bildeaux. Anniversary wishes go out to Vernon and Patsy.

Get well wishes go out to Patsy as she recently had surgery and is doing well.

Dale and Joretta Nikula spent the weekend in Barnum taking in the Carlton County Fair. They reported a great time as there was good music, food, and great exhibits, including a wonderful 4-H program.

Zion Lutheran Church will have its semi-annual meeting at 4 p.m. Sunday with a light supper at 5:30 and worship at 6:30.
