The Lake County Fair begins next Thursday and there will be plenty of exhibits at the 4-H building. Club members have been working all year on projects ranging from aerospace to food and nutrition, photography, gardening, and wildlife biology.
The 4-H food stand will offer tacos, nachos, taco salad, ice cream treats, Betty’s Pies, root beer floats, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob. People visiting the building are encouraged to talk to 4-H members and get a tour of the projects. “You may even get a 4-H clover silly band,” said Tracey Anderson, the University of Minnesota Extension agent in charge of the Lake County 4-H program.
Rabbits, chickens, and horses will be found in the animal barn and on Saturday there will be a horse show. Other sights include the commercial building and the midway.
There will be mud pit competitions Friday and Saturday as well.
