The 2011 Two Harbors High School football season begins Monday.
There will be a 45-minute parent and player informational meeting for all grade levels at 7 p.m. Aug. 16 at the high school auditorium.
Varsity and junior varsity (grades 9-12) begin practice at 8 a.m. Monday at the high school. There will be two practices a day Monday through Friday for the first two weeks, with the second beginning at 5 p.m. Starting the third week, practice will be from 5 to 8 p.m. When school begins, practice will be right after the school day ends at run until 6:30 (6 p.m. on Wednesday).
Junior high (grades 7-8) practice begins Aug. 22 and runs 4-6:30 p.m.
Pony League (grades 5-6) practice also begins Aug. 22 at 4:15 at the Odegard Park warming shack. Practices will run until 5:45 Monday through Thursday with all games played Saturdays.
Head football coach Tom Nelson said it’s not too late for students to sign up for a team and urges those with questions to call him at 834-4745 (home) or 830-8083 (cell).
