Brainerd, Minn., man dies in Lake County snowmobile accident on Monday

A Brainerd man died after his snowmobile hit a tree Monday night on the Tomahawk Trail in northern Lake County.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Two Harbors received a call at 8:16 p.m. Monday that Bryce Niesen, 45, was traveling with another snowmobiler on the Tomahawk trail four miles west of Kramer Road when he hit a tree. Niesen died at the scene.
An autopsy is being conducted. The county ambulance service, sheriff’s office and rescue squad were at the accident scene.
