Pie social

The Zion Lutheran Church women held their annual pie social Saturday. Even with the weather so hot, many pies were baked and served.

Hockey star

Alex Murray, son of Tom and Denise Murray of Grand Marais, was chosen to take part in the National Development Training Program through U.S.A. Hockey in Lake Placid, N.Y. Congratulations to Alex.

Fill-in pastor

On Sunday Zion Lutheran Church had Pastor Kris Garey of Hovland fill in for Tom Murray while he is in New York.

Co-op meeting

Co-op Light & Power had a district meeting July 13 at the Finland Community Center. Bob and Linda Nikolai served refreshments and the door prize was won by Ruth Himes.
