Lisbeth T. Lovold 87, of Finland, died May 16, 2011, at Scenic Shores in Two Harbors.
She was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Kristiansund N., Norway. At the age of 6, she moved to the United States and lived in Brooklyn, New York, and then moved to Duluth.
Lisbeth attended schools in Duluth and Two Harbors. She later moved to Beaver Bay, where she raised her family, and later moved to Finland.
Lisbeth was a member of Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay, Zion Lutheran Church in Finland, and the Sons of Norway. She enjoyed St. Urho’s Day, celebrating her Norwegian heritage, and feeding deer in her yard.
Lisbeth is preceded in death by her parents; son, Lance Henry Lovold; and grandson, Jaime Lovold.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Wendy); daughter, Beth Lovold, both of Englewood, Colo.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
There was a memorial service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Finland. Burial will be in Beaver Bay Cemetery.
