Beverly Jean Cavallin

Beverly Jean Cavallin, 65, of Two Harbors, died Saturday, April 23, 2011,

when she conquered her battle with cancer by taking the Lord’s hand upon entering into Heaven. She will now be free and healed for all eternity.

She was born in Duluth June 13, 1945, to George and Mildred MacFarlane. On June 15, 1963, Bev married her sweetheart and very devoted husband, Donald Cavallin, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

They bought a home in the Waldo area, best known as “Cavallin Corner,” and

raised four children, Danny, Stacey, Thomas, Ann.

Beverly was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking,

baking, crafts, and making flower baskets.

Most of all, she loved caring for her family and grandchildren. Spending

time with each grandchild at family gatherings for birthdays and holidays was so important to her and the highlight of her day.

She had a very generous heart, always remembering and giving to others. Our lives are richer for having had her with us, and we will miss her never-ending love and devotion.

Bev is survived by her beloved husband; her children Danny, Stacey (Steve)

Hedin, Thomas (Amy), and Ann (Jim Jr.) Gilbert; her 11 amazing and beautiful grandchildren, Jade, Jessica, Scott, Chase, Cody, Mac, Lane, Quaid, Margaret, Duke, and Kennedy; her mother, Mildred; two brothers, George Jr. (Terri) and Bradley (Diane) MacFarlane; brothers- and

sisters-in-law, Gary (Kathy), Bob (Lolly), Bill (Shay), and Kathy Cavallin, Mary (Tom) Simonsen, Suzie (Rob) Stokes; and several nieces,

nephews, and cousins.

While Beverly will be greatly missed by her family and friends, she knew she would be met in Heaven by her father, George MacFarlane Sr.; her sister, Gloria Johnson; brother-in-law, Steve Cavallin; father and mother-in-law Swaney and Margaret Cavallin and all the other family and friends already enjoying eternity with our Lord and Savior.

A visitation was held Tuesday at Cavallin Funeral Home in Two Harbors. A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church followed by burial at Lakeview Cemetery.
