Dorothy Mayfield

Dorothy Mayfield, 94, of Two Harbors, died Monday, April 18, 2011, at Scenic Shores.

She was born Dec. 8, 1916, to Louis and Mildred (Kringler) Larson in Two Harbors, where she was a life-long resident.

She married Richard Mayfield in 1934 and was employed as a nurse’s aide at the Community Health Center for 36 years, retiring in 1977.

Dorothy was a member of the HarborMates Club, the Women of the Moose, and VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard, in 1982; a daughter, Mary Ann Mayfield in 1950; son, Robert in 2008; a brother, Louis Larson; sisters, Ethel Naslund, and Betty Juth; and daughter-in-law, Marie Mayfield.

Dorothy is survived by two sons, Donald and Earl (Pam), both of Two Harbors;

sister, Shirley Rodvold of Two Harbors; six grand-children and eight great-grandchildren.

There was a 1 p.m. memorial service Thursday at Cavallin Funeral Home in

Two Harbors. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Ecumen Scenic Shores Activity Fund.
