Eh? At least we’re known for something (with video)

"NBC Nightly News" did a story on the June-like weather around the country — they called it “Junuary.” They showed a bunch of newspaper headlines including the Lake County News-Chronicle the day they announced the Winter Frolic in Two Harbors was canceled.

Sometimes we’re famous for our weather; sometimes we make the news for lack of it.

This is one of those weak weather years.

Our reward Monday was a mention on the national news. "NBC Nightly News" did a story on the June-like weather around the country — they called it “Junuary.” They showed a bunch of newspaper headlines including the Lake County News-Chronicle the day they announced the Winter Frolic in Two Harbors was canceled.

Don’t worry, there’s still time this winter for us to make the national news the usual way.
