Coral Jean Johnson, 80, of Two Harbors, formerly of Silver Bay, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Ecumen Scenic Shores care center in Two Harbors.

Coral Jean Johnson, 80, of Two Harbors, formerly of Silver Bay, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Ecumen Scenic Shores care center in Two Harbors.

She was born Oct. 9, 1930, to Ben and Mary (Satter) Johnson in Two Harbors.

Coral married Milton Johnson April 2, 1949, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Two Harbors. They mov-ed to Silver Bay, where they raised their family. Coral was a homemaker through the years and a member of the Silver Bay VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay, and Bethlehem Lutheran.

She moved to Two Harbors in 2008 to be under the care of her daughters. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her family.

Coral is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Milton; and siblings, Chester “Smokey” Johnson, Edith Call, Helen Puent, Norman Johnson, and Elwood Johnson.

She is survived by her seven children, Sandra (Gene) Gangestad of Two Harbors, Terri (Orwoll) Edeen of Saginaw, Mark (Suzan) Johnson of Duluth, Sherry (Larry) Gilbert of Two Harbors, David (Maren) Johnson of Rochester, Daniel (Sue Walters) Johnson of St. Cloud, and Steven (Carrie Morales) Johnson of Nash-ville; 13 grandchildren, Dr. Angelina (Jeffry Hexter) Gangestad, Scott (Jennifer) Havlick, Stephanie (Zac) Bentz, Shane Johnson, Christina Gilbert, Andrew (Teather) Gangestad, Anissa (Leo) Lukas, Andrea (Aaren) Petersen, Amanda (Steve) Kaster, Bradley Johnson, Cinthia Johnson, Lindsey Johnson, and Steven Johnson; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private graveside service is planned at Lakeview Cemetery.
