Letter to the editor: Remember the hungry

This is the time for our annual March Food Drive for Elijah’s Pantry, the food shelf we host at our Living Waters.

This is the time for our annual March Food Drive for Elijah’s Pantry, the food shelf we host at our Living Waters.

We are in need of food and cash donations to help feed hungry people in our community. Because we can purchase directly from Second Harvest Northern Lights Food Bank, we can buy quality food for pennies a pound. No gift is too small or too large.

We have seen a significant increase in first-time clients – people who just a couple of years ago would never think they would be using our services. It can happen to anyone, even you or me.

Please consider a generous gift. All giving is fully tax deductible.

The Alan S. Feinstein Foundation is offering to add to whatever is given, a match of at least $250 and possible more depending on what we can raise.

Please help us help feed hungry people. We can’t do it without you.

Thank you for all you have done and continue to do to help us “love our neighbors as ourselves.”

From Pastor Jim Joseph, Living Waters Fellowship, Two Harbors
