Bob Nikolai and Steve Wattman attended the 70th Minnesota Rural Electric Association annual meeting Monday through Wednesday at The Crown Plaza in St. Paul.

Judy Martell and Ruth Himes recently visited with Eleanor Elmstrom in Forest Lake. Eleanor sends greetings to her friends here.

The St. Urho scavenger hunt Saturday saw “Team Violent Femmes of Finland” coming out on top. We look forward to this becoming an annual event.

The fourth annual costume, prop, and float-making workshop begins Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the same time Saturday, at the new community center. All ages are welcome and refreshments will be served.

A benefit for Dana Grignon goes 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Silver Bay Re-union Hall. There will be a spaghetti dinner along with a silent auction. It costs $8 for adults, $6 for children, and no cost for those under age 3. Donations are being accepted at North Shore Federal Credit Union.
