Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Kenneth Drowley, who passed away Jan. 28 at the age of 88 in Andover. Services will be held at a later date.

Deepest sympathy also goes out to the family and friends of Donna Stadler, who died last Friday at Solvay Hospice in Duluth at the age of 78. A visitation begin at 10 a.m. Saturday followed by an 11 a.m. service at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A private burial service will be later at Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery.

For those of you with inquiring minds like Rob Stromquist and Tom Martinson, you may be wondering where in the world Girard’s Rainbow Resort is located. As you turn onto County Road 7 it is listed on the resorts sign by the St. Urho statue. In checking with a few of the older residents, they believe it was the resort right at Cramer, now closed. That was the best I could do, Rob and Tom.

The Friends of the Finland Community Recreation Committee held a fund-raiser breakfast Saturday. There was a good turnout and it was a great chance to tour the new community center.
